Flat Pack Cabinet Assembly Instructions
Kora Kitchens cabinets are designed to be straightforward to assemble. If you take your time, protect the painted panels, and identify each component before starting, the process is generally self-explanatory.
We recommend assembling cabinets in a clean, dry area with enough space to lay the panels out safely.
What is included in a typical flat pack?
A typical cabinet pack contains:
-
2 side panels
-
1 bottom panel
-
1 back panel
-
painted drawer fronts or cupboard doors
-
drawer components
-
a bag of fixings including cam screws, lock nuts, dowels and screws
Metal drawer sides and drawer runners are usually packed separately.
Assembly steps
1. Check the contents
Open the flat pack carefully and confirm all panels and fixings are present before you begin.
2. Identify the panels
Lay all components out and identify which panel goes where before starting assembly.
3. Protect painted panels
Remove painted doors, drawer fronts and finished panels and place them somewhere safe to avoid scratching or damage.
4. Fit dowels and cam screws
Insert the dowels and cam screws into the pre-drilled holes provided.
5. Assemble the cabinet
Join the cabinet panels together and secure them using the lock nuts supplied.
6. Install the cabinet
Once assembled, place the cabinet in position and level it as required.
7. Locate drawer hardware
Metal drawer sides and runners are supplied in a separate box.
8. Assemble the drawers
Assemble the drawer components and fit the drawers onto the runners.
9. Fit the drawer fronts
Remove the bracket from the metal drawer slide, attach it to the drawer front, then fit the drawer front to the metal drawer sides.
10. Fit cupboard doors
Attach the hinges to the doors, then fit the doors to the cabinet and adjust as required.
